Iloilo City — Nalampuwasan sang mga Ilonggo ang kabudlayan dala sang COVID-19 pandemic bangud sa pagbuligay sang tanan.

Ginplastar ini ni Mayor Jerry Treñas sa iya State of the City Address subong nga gab-i.

Suno sa alkalde, halos nauntat ang economic activities sa syudad sa una nga duha ka quarters sang 2020 sang ginpatuman ang Enhanced Community Quarantine agud ma-contain ang virus.

“But because of the Ilonggos’ unwavering brand of bayanihan spirit, we continue to fight against covid-19. Help from all sectors were overwhelming, and I am certain that it was the help coming from everyone that kept us all intact and resilient,” suno sa alkalde.

Daku nga bulig suno sa alkalde ang mga inisyatibo pareho sang USWAG Community Kitchens, USWAG Kitchen Patrol, USWAG Dorm, USWAG Rolling Store, Ilonggo Pandesal, Ilonggo Artists Against Covid-19, USWAG Sewers, USWAG Bike Sharing, Iloilo United Volunteers, Mass Testing kag mga donasyon halin sa mga Ilonggo businessmen.

Naga-apelar naman ang alkalde sa mga Ilonggo nga padayon nga magkooperar sa mga otoridad sa ginapatuman nga minimum health standards.

“I am appealing to each and every Ilonggo to cooperate with our authorities in following protocols and guidelines. Let us not jeopardize all the efforts of our Local Government Unit with our negligence or egoistic reasons. Instead, we all need to band together to shoulder the responsibility of overcoming Covid-19 pandemic, and bringing the whole city through this challenging time,” dugang ni Mayor Treñas.
